While I agree with the previous reviewer on this being not-compatible with a Linux/Mac based OS, the device works flawlessly with Windows and accomplishes its intended purpose. One caveat though, you should use this device on the same subnet as the computer hosting the printer. In my house, I have a wired and wireless network. While the printer adapter worked fine when both adapter and PC (host) were connected to the same (wired) network, when the PC moved to the wireless network, I could no longer connect to the printer. This is because (when both host and adapter are on the same subnet) the software on the host sends out a UDP directed broadcast to find the adapter (in my case 192.168.1.0, UDP port 34447). The print adapter receives this broadcast (since it's on the same subnet) and replies back. My wireless network, while also being connected to the same router, is on 192.168.1.0 while my wired network is on 192.168.0.0. So, since most routers don't route directed broadcasts, I had to manually force the router to forward that specific broadcast from the wireless network, over to the wired network. It's a Cisco router and I'm a CCIE so I knew how to do this. I'm pretty sure though that the average Netgear/Linksys/whatever router can not forward UDP broadcast traffic from specific ports to a unicast message on a different subnet. So, for the average home user, keep your PC on your wired network (the same one as the print adapter) to ensure smooth operation.

From reading some of the reviews I notice that some of you don't realize that a digital phone is not the same type of phone that you use at home an will NOT work on an analog signal which is what you have at home. Actually, a digital phone is not a phone at all but is in fact, a terminal which is programed via a computer. Digital phones operate exclusively with the use of a phone system such as IP-Office, Definity, etc. These types of systems use a digital signal to translate voice and data into legible information at a much faster pace as a stream of information running in a straight line. Analog data is basically an undulating sound wave, moving up and down and is much slower. A digital phone won't work in an analog environment and an analog phone won't work in a digital environment. They don't speak the same language. A phone system will typically have special analog cards as part of the system in order for faxes and modems to work in your office; these types of devices are almost always analog. The 6408-D (the "D" stands for digital) is a reliable, well built, user friendly, workhorse and is a great phone for any office using a digital voice/data system only. It is not a suitable phone for home use or even many small offices that typically have only a few telephone lines and will not work there. For that you will need a POT (plain ole telephone) that uses a POTS (plain ole telephone signal) yes, POTS means exactly that... I hope this mini phone lesson clears up some of the confusion.

Great business phone!
At the time of this posting, there was another "review". That person apparently thought you could just plug this phone into a regular phone line (what a clown)! This, of course, is a business phone system, so you will need a PBX line for it to work (not a typical POTS line). As long as you have a PBX line, or get it installed, you will love this phone. A+++ all the way around!

The only reason I didn't give this keyboard five stars is the first one I received had many dead keys. I think this was due to it being crushed while being shipped to me. I am using this keyboard on my two year old's computer. With this keyboard I don't have to worry about him removing the keys, spilling most anything on it, or throwing it when he gets frustrated at his computer games or the speed at which Sesame Street videos load. The keys are sensitive enough and their position close enough to standard, that I'm able to easily touch type.

Okay but Not Great
It is what it is, a flexible silicone keyboard. I does what you want, providing a full size portable keyboard. The one draw back to me was the keystroke response was not all that great. If you don't strike the keys on the right spot with enough pressure, it will not register the keystroke.

Pros: Full size keyboard with numeric keypad, comfortable use, less likely to strike the wrong letters while typing (unlike trying to type on a 10" notebook computer), spill resistant easy to clean off.

Cons: Keystroke response (having to strike the keys precisely and with more pressure than a normal keyboard)


Interesting Keyboard
This is definitely waterproof! It is also flexible and all of the things that the description says about it. The only problem is that it is very hard to type on so if you are planning on doing alot of typing then this isn't for you.

can't seem to get drivers or anything from neewer whoever they are.
it is what I paid for so 3 also if I don't like it I will torture test it for the heck of it. ;>

Polk Audio SurroundBar 50 Surround System (Single Speaker, Titanium Silver)

I recently upgraded my home theater to 7.1 and went with a great in wall installation for the rear 4. Unfortunately, my wife liked the clutter reduction and "requested" that I ditch the huge tower LCR speakers as well... I investigated several soundbar solutions to add to my existing setup and finding unpowered LCR bars was not easy until I found the Polk SurroundBar 50.

I bought mine through the Amazon Warehouse and it arrived in a truly shredded box, but the contents were in perfect order. Hookup was simple, although the included wires are too long for my install and a little on the scrawny side, but they are well sheathed and color coded for easy install. The variety of mounting/stand solutions was very nice and allowed me to place the bar on the console under my 65" LCD without a hitch.

Setup and calibration was simple, but as others (including the vendor) have indicated they are a little bright and you MUST have subwoofer support if you want an accurate experience. Surround is as iffy as I would expect, no matter the mojo, but since I was looking for LCR it was perfect. I ended up wiring the SurroundBar's surrounds to give me a 9.1 setup and it does an admirable job.

Soundbars ARE a compromise - I doubt anyone's bar will give you the same surround experience as a discrete speaker system. If that is what you're hoping for, then get 5+ speakers and be done with it. However, if you're looking for a single speaker solution to give you a reasonable portrayal and you already have an amplifier then look no further.

Great sound in a hurry
I've only had my SurroundBar 50 for a couple of days but I love it so far. Once upon a time, I stayed current on all the latest home theater trends and technology but with kids and work, I just want a great movie experience that doesn't require constant "tweaking" and buying new gear all the time. It hooked up quickly and sounds great with a sub, so I'm happy. I tried it on the stand but I thought it looked funny down there on the cabinet top, so I mounted it above a 50 inch LG and it looks great and sounds better up there (soundstage seems wider and surround effects are better). I love Amazon but I bought mine from PolkDirect on Ebay (it's where they sell off refurbs and open box items). Mine works perfectly and if it's got a cosmetic blemish somewhere, I can't find it... the best part is, I only paid 0 for it.


Exactly as Described
I was sceptical that this would "fill" our room with sound (16' X 16' with 9' ceiling), but even with my old reciever and sub it does a good job. The bass is lacking, so make sure you have a sub.
It's definitely not on par with a complete surround system and you can localize, but I am very please with it.
Music (depending on source) sounds fantastic. This is wife friendly and I would recommend it for sure.


Attractive, well priced, and a little more enveloping than regular speakers
I've got this SurroundBar 50 hooked up to a Sony mid-range receiver, a Polk PSW111 sub, and a Sharp 52" LCD in a cathedral ceiling, trapezoidal room. Basically this was the only thing that would work. The overall effect is very good and I'm happy with the piece. It's not insignificant to me that this is a very attractive piece of A/V equipment, with easy hookup and three mounting options out of the box. I've got it on very small feet and it looks great.

As far as sound, for movies and TV it works well, though make no mistake that there's no way anything sounds like it's coming from behind you. However, I have heard sounds from beside me, which was a cool feeling. I've experienced a few times where the center channel of speech gets a little lost, but that's happened less with this SurroundBar than with other multi-piece systems I've had.

The bottom line is that, despite sometimes being slightly on the bright side, the overall sound from this bar matched with the PSW111 is very good. My dad is a professional classical musician and commented that the system playing digital cable music was exceptional--that says a lot.

This desktop has been great from the moment I got it. I bought it in August of 2009 at a local electronics store. It seemed to run a little hot at first but began to run cooler after a couple days. I do a fair share of gaming and it keeps up with everything I throw at it. I made the mistake of installing the discounted Norton package that came with it (FYI - you have to unistall the demo before installing the full version or it won't work). Norton misses so many bugs its a joke. It was loaded with Vista which in some ways is slower than my previous desktop with Windows XP that was eight years old.

But back to the system itself. I'm not a electronics geek so I don't have a lot in the way of peripherals. But if I did, I still think I would have more ports than I would know what to do with. It runs quiet. I would suggest not closing this system in a cabinet so that it does have room to breath and doesn't get too hot. It does what I need - Internet, Videos, Games, DVDs.

works with windows 7, with some work
I got my win 7 upgrade in the mail, kept getting BSOD so I reinstalled windows. Got BSOD every 2-3 days after reinstalling win 7. Finally updated all my drivers, bios and everything, didn't get one for awhile. Then I got one about every month. I had had it, emailed hp, then found it immediately there is a known issue with the motherboard, so they're going to fix it, hopefully it'll fix all the problems. I guess I should of emailed hp earlier, I just figured it was a driver issue, not the computer.

Other than that I love this computer, works great. Very fast, quiet, good deal for what you get


Pavilion - pros and cons
Had a couple problems out of the box, which I attributed to Vista. After making adjustments to the OS, the computer started working a whole lot better. However, it would lock up or give a BSOD from time to time. At first I didn't pay too much attention to it, but then it started to do it while I was working. Very annoying. Now I have realized it usually locks up within 15 minutes of turning it on. After the lockup, I turn it off and back on and it seems to work fine from thereon out. At least until I turn it off or sleep for an extended period. The error codes are along the lines of secondary processor timing out, hardware stopped working. I will call HP to get an RMA and hope that will solve the problem.

This was a great buy for the price, given that there are two handsets as well as an answering machine. One convenient feature is that the second handset has a blinking light indicating messages left on the answering machine. (With our earlier phone, we'd have messages without realizing it until much later, sometimes too late to respond promptly) Best of all, we no longer have to race from one end of the house to the other to answer our landline; That comic routine provided exercise, but often we'd miss calls!

Pretty good
The cordless phone I bought is fine. It was a problem at first because it came with a greeting already on the answering device, a greeting with attitude, and no manual. It took me a while to find out how to change it; you use the handset, whereas my old one had the controls for that on the base. Meanwhile, some callers may have gotten a bad impression of me.


Good value. Good features and quality
I have had my phone about 2 years and am happy with my purchase. I like that the extra handset has all the features of the main headset like speaker phone. I had a Panasonic before for several years and stuck with the brand again. I miss the voicemail counter. It is easy to accidently erase messages not intended to be erased. Be careful. Buttons on the phone are a nice size. Wish the keypad was backlit. Overall a solid phone.

Title said it all...Best portables phones we have owned. Hold a charge (and my better half can talk for hours lol), has nice ringers to choose from, great range, light, easy to see buttons and easy to use menu.
