Creative Live! Cam with Voice

I only use the video portion of the camera and use cell phone for audio, so I haven't tested the audio aspects. The video quality is very good, although it does tend to have a fisheye effect that is noticeable.

Creative TravelSound i80 Speaker Dock for iPod nano 3G

I purchased this speaker last summer to go with the nano I got for my mother. I was impressed with the quality of the sound for such a small speaker. It's not going to please a picky audiophile, but it is absolutely adequate for anyone who likes to listen to music at a moderate volume or uses their nano for audiobooks. It's a nice little package that gets lots of positive comments (Where did you get that? That's neat looking...) For Christmas I got one for my sister and it works just as well as my mom's. Given the great price, I couldn't resist and finally got one for myself. I have gotten about 15 hours out of a single charge. It's also convenient recharging my nano at the same time. I have accidentally turned it on while putting it back in its case (a nice little bonus that case is) and discovered it out of juice when I take it out and turn it on, but I think that's more operator error than a design flaw. I like that the front of the speaker is metal rather than fabric. It feels sturdy and I never hesitate to transport it in my purse. Overall, I'm extremely pleased. I have also purchased Creative's speaker for the 4th generation nano as a gift and Creative's speaker for the iShuffle for business use (I'm a traveling massage therapist and need a lightweight music delivery system for use at clients' homes-it works great!) I'm happy to have found a reliable brand I can trust. I recommend this product without reservation.

Awesome Little Dock and it works with ny new Nano 5G
I just purchased this for my new iPod Nano 5G. It works perfectly! I don't know about all of the various iPod generations but the 3G is a bit larger than the 4G or 5G so either of them "should" work. This is an awesome little travel dock. I can use this in my car with no problem at all and I won't need to modify any wiring. It has a rechargeable battery built into it so you can have decent sound without having to plug it in anywhere. The manufacturer claims it's good for up to 15 hours (same as the iPod). It's about the same size as a deck of cards. The travel pouch is really nice to have too.

Is the sound in the same realm as some of the really high end docks out there? No, of course not but I am amazed at the sound that does come out of it. If you want really high end sound there are some excellent products available but I don't think you will find them for this price. In fact, you won't find those for the original price of this unit. This unit is perfect for driving back and forth to work or while you're out having fun. Shipping was very fast too. All in all this ia great little dock at an unbelievable price.

I pod dock
I bought this for a Christmas present for my son, and he is very happy with it. Now I can hear his music too.

Great buy!!
Love this product. We use it for our newborn son to give him music while in his car seat/crib. It actually gets pretty loud, we never put the volume louder than halfway. You can't throw a party with it or anything, but for our use it's perfect!

just what we were looking for
Small, transportable, easy to use, good sound. Not a boombox if that is what you are looking for, but works well to have music around if you don't want to use headphones. It is a little pricey ...

Creative EP-630 In-Ear Headphones

These Creative EP-630's are perfect headphone for me to workout with, they have ample bass and a good build quality. I use different sized attachments for each ear because I am a freak of nature and my ear holes are different sizes, it's very nice to have the different sized pads come with it. The sound is fairly clean with a nice punchy bass, a good step up in all respects from the ipod/zune standard buds and are comfortable enough for longer usage. They have survived the sauna and plenty of being tugged on from motions at the gym. Best of all they are cheap enough that I wouldn't feel too bad if I accidentally killed them some how. I would recommend these to anyone looking for some great cheap buds.

Great Sound, good price
Best sounding earphones for under 0, they are actually made by sennhieser.

Very balanced sound, clear highs and mids and deep but not muddy bass.

They are also small, very light and comfortable.

Thet sound 99% as good as my 0 Shure Professional earphones.

Can't go wrong for the price.

Comfort and Awesome Sound
After researching earbuds, I bought 3 pair of these for my kids. They have had earbuds before, but always complained about them not staying in or hurting their ears. No more complaints here! They say the bass is awesome and really enjoy using the earbuds. I will definitely buy them again if needed.

Intially Defective but got a quick replacement
I got this for + shipping from a store. Initially, I got a defective piece. But after I complained, I got a replacement of this product. Earphones are nice and comfortable. Lets see how long they last.

Again...good until they stopped working
I got 2 and 1/2 months out of these before one side stopped working. I couldn't detect any cord damage yet the right one would give out once in awhile and then finally never worked again. They're in the garbage now.

Creative I-Trigue 200 2.0 Speaker System with Removable Faceplates (51MF1535AA002)

Very nice Sound I downgraded from a 2.1 logitech with sub woofer (going to the family pc to watch streaming movies) for my desktop. Now it sounds good but without a sub the bass loss is very significant. Good sound though for .99 (clearance out at Target), and very good for and is marginally better looking than a similar logitech system. I do basic gaming and moderate music and movie listening and these are wonderful. I don't think beyond for these though, but to pay anything under is much better. Face plates did bring a little life to a somewhat bland desk too. If you want to spend more money than look for a sub based system in my opinion.

Good quality sound, but lack of bass output makes it sound dull
I have personally used Creative speakers for over 10 years now and I have no doubt to beleive that creative speakers are some of the best in the market.

This little speaker is no exception - good clarity of sound in a small package. But, that is until I heard it side by side with a logitech speakers of more or less the same cost () that come with a subwoofer (Bass) - simply said put a huge amount of difference in the sound output with/without the bass.

I returned the speakers and went with the Logitech R-20.

To see for yourself, buy this speaker and any other decent speaker with the Bass from Best Buy/Circuit City, plug in both the speakers one after the other and see for yourself.

It is very easy to get emotional speakers as soon as you get great music streaming from your computer - but I would suggest that you compare and see for yourself before you take a dive.

But for -20 this speakers are great as long as you are willing to compromise on the Bass.

GOOD QUALITY
I am very pleased with my purchase. The quality of the sound is good, so pretty much you get for what you pay. Overall, if you are looking for some speakers for your desktop or laptop this is the way to go. They're great for my room but if you want something louder then spend more money.

Surprisingly nice sound
I picked up a pair of these at Circuit City for twenty USD today. Then I saw them at Target for forty. When I got home I found them for thirty-five sixty-three here Amazon.com. So I got a great price for them.

They sound pretty good. I have one on each side of my 24-inch Gateway LCD. The stereo separation is nice and yet, somehow, the sound feels like it's coming right out of my monitor -- dead center. So I'm pleased.

Now I won't be limited to the weak volume of my MacBook Pro internal speakers.

Creative Zen Micro 5 GB MP3 Player Black

Have had the unit only a day, and figured out how to load the mp3s after an hour or so of loading program and reading the manual. Although pretty much Windows drag and drop, there is some setup to do beforehand, so don't rush things and read the pdf manual. The paper manual has instructions for installing the drivers and playing the files. You'll have to go online or read the pdf manual to really work this thing.

I think I am pretty satisfied with the quality and oompf of the player itself, but Creative's "MediaSource Organzier" interface (along with the simpler "Media Explorer" and their capabilities--or not--caused many wasted hours here on Day Two. The Explorer offers a task list to easily rip audio CD to the device, with a box to check whether you wanted to also rip the mp3s to the Music Library on the C drive. I didn't want to waste my precious space on C drive, so unchecked the option. Later when I wanted to burn an MP3 CD (rather than an audio CD), I found could do this only with access to the harddrive's version of the Music Library. When I finally figured that out (and I reripped the album I was interested in), then the mp3 burn list would import the tracks only in alphabetical order. I tried via a custom playlist and bringing over a clearly numbered Album, and they tracks jumped to the burnlist in alphabetical order. Through the forums on Creative's website, I discovered that is the only option. No way to have the mp3s be "tracked" on an mp3 CD burn. And that's it. Phooey.

And for some reason, I could not after the fact move my many ripped albums of mp3s from the Zen player to the c drive's Music Library. If this had been explained beforehand or at all somewhere, I would have saved hours of time. But their manuals and tutorials make it all seem so easy..select tracks, place them in order with my named playlist, click a few buttons...and presto, it's stalled or a mess with no means to figure what happened.

I eventually worked around the whole thing using other programs, and now have a cd that will play my tracks in order on a CD player. Now I'm just going to make straight copies of it. Too many hours where a few sentences in the manual would have helped.

Creative Zen Micro 5 GB MP3 Player Black

Product Description:
Non Stop Music - Non Stop Fun!
Amazon.com Product Description:
The Zen Micro digital music player from Creative Labs packs an incredible 5 GB of storage capacity into a shell small enough to sit comfortably in your jeans pocket. It also rides nicely in your hand, with a palm-fitting profile and thumb-friendly front-panel controls. It's a bit shorter than an Apple iPod Mini, yet its rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides 12 hours of continuous playback--50 percent more than iPod Mini's. The Zen Micro is compatible not merely with MP3s and WAV files, but with WMA as well. Toss in USB 2.0 connectivity and you're looking at one spiffy portable music player.

But playing isn't all the Zen Micro does. You can use it to receive FM radio (with 32 station presets to keep your favorites at the ready), and to record, either from the radio or from live sources such as voice dictation or lectures using the Zen Micro's built-in condenser microphone.

Trimmed in a luminescent blue glow and with easily visible backlit buttons, this stylish black player holds up to 1,250 songs (83 hours) at 128 kbps or 2,500 songs (166 hours) at lower-fidelity 64 kbps (MP3/WMA)--that's a solid week's worth of music listening, never playing the same song twice. Compatibility with Microsoft's WMA compressed-audio format grants access to over 2 million downloadable songs offered promotionally or for sale online.

Perhaps the Zen Micro's coolest attribute is its DJ feature, which will shuffle not only all the songs you've loaded or all the songs in a given album, but also, at your discretion, only the tracks you listen to most, or only those you rarely hear, taking the work out of selecting your favorites or hunting out all the music you're still getting to know.

Zen Micro's rechargeable battery is easy to replace.
For navigation, the device features a vertical, linear touchpad designed to make searching through songs or playlists easy, quick, and fun. The unit's blue, 160 x 104-pixel, electroluminescent LCD shows key functions and song details at a glance, and you can even customize the main menu to keep right at your fingertips the features that matter most to you.

Another of the Zen Micro's handy features is its personal organizer. You'll never forget an important anniversary with the onboard calendar, and it also includes a to-do list and a contacts list, all of which sync seamlessly with Microsoft Outlook (Outlook thus required for use of these features). In addition, the device offers a sleep timer and alarm so you can drift off to sleep to the strains of one playlist and wake to a completely different one.

The Zen Micro's removable battery is easy to swap with another fully charged battery (additional batteries sold separately), extending your listening by a half-day per swap.

What's in the Box
The Zen Micro player, stereo earbud headphones, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a USB 2.0 cable, an installation CD, a quick-start guide, and Creative MediaSource software.

Creative Fatal1ty 2020 Laser Gaming Mouse ( 7300000000422 )

I've had the mouse for about a month now (quick shipping) and the only flaws I've found are:

1. Mouse tips forward often during regular play.
2. Drivers CD will not work with XP Media Center Edition, however I found drivers for the 1010 online and they work fine.
3. The left mouse button has gotten less responsive over time and is difficult to double click.
4. The weights included don't fit properly and rattle around, so I had to add tape to fill the gap.

I previously had a Razer Lachesis and I have to say that compared to the price, I'd definitely get this one again. Even if I do have to mess around with the mouse button to fix it the value is still better for the price.

Creative Labs Broadxent V.92 PCI Data Fax Voice Modem (Internal DI3631)

One of the best PCI Internal Modems on the market today. I am in rural America with no access to any ISP except dial-up. I use 2 of these on Windows XP machine and MultiLink PPP for a combined speed of 98.5k to 106k making it possible to use most streaming music sites but not quite fast enough for streaming video. These Modems have no problems, they connect and bundle 3 times as fast as older V.90 Winmodems and have user features like "Modem on Hold" that make them a notch above the competition. If you want a Modem that is easy to install and use, this is the one.... hands down.... by far the best.

For Quick Videos in a Pinch
This camera certainly has limitations. It is not good in low light, has no image stabilization and the sound is not the greatest but all in all the price is right! It you are looking for any of the aforementioned features then this camera along with all the other flip-style camcorders are not for you. I would say the quality of the videos that this camera can capture is a step up from my iphone. The other benefits over the iphone are that you can mount it on a tri-pod and the controls are more user friendly. At the end of the day I am happy with this purchase and it should keep me happy until I am ready to invest more money and purchase a higher-end HD camera.

    Creative Labs WebCam Instant

This is a cheap, no frills webcam. I bought it specifically because it WAS so cheap and because I wanted a simple webcam to put on my desk at work to act as a spy to see who was going around stealing things off people's desks after hours and I wanted it to be cheap in case what they stole next was my camera.

I think its mere presense did the job of deterrent. It did catch some people eyeballing it suspiciously before wandering off, but neither it nor anything from my desk ever disappeared again.

    That said, here's my breakdown:

Included software: Very good. Comes with software "motion detection" which is what I use to record movement around my desk, but also has time lapse and photo modes in addition to actually just being a webcam. There's also some way of setting up the camera to monitor it remotely but the firewall at the office was blocking that function so I haven't tried it.

Camera quality: "Sufficient". Not great. The camera seems to have minor "fits" that will throw glitches on screen once in a great while. This isn't really noticable until you use motion detection. The motion detection function would frequently capture an image of a blank wall doing nothing very exciting and it took me a while to realize that what sets off the motion detection is sometimes just "noise" which I presume to be a result of a poor quality camera. Like it gets a moment of static which trips the motion detection software and it ends up recording a short stint of absolutely nothing happening. (Edit: I was able to greatly reduce the incidence of this by turning off the automatic light settings. Turns out, at some point the software decides that the lighting is too light or too dark and makes an adjustment, which cause enough of a picture change to trigger the motion detector... setting it to manual removed about 75% of the "noise" hits I was getting.)

It would also be nice if the motion capture had a small 1 or 2 second buffer so that it will always record the event that tripped it. As it is, sometimes it will also trigger from something going by fast enough that the software gets tripped but doesn't start recording fast enough to catch what tripped it.

The camera's max resolution is pretty low, as well, though I guess that's about on par for web cams. On the bright side, you can record quite a lot of time without taking up a lot of drive space but on the other hand, it's going to be low quality stuff.

Still, not bad for the price. I'm happy enough with it. The plastic stand is nice, too, giving you a decent chance of finding a place to set it or hook it (the bottom "leg" you see in the picture can swing out to act as a claw if need be, e.g., to place on top of a monitor or cubical wall...)

I might even be tempted to call it "5 stars, relative to other cameras you could get for this cheap" but I'll leave it at 4 stars, mainly for those glitches that interfere with motion capture.

You can certainly find a better web cam out there, but if you're looking for something cheap and sufficient, this one will probably do the job.

Not for Vista! OK on XP, Marginal Picture Quality
There are much better available, avoid this "Creative Webcam" unless you are getting it cheap and are only installing it on an XP PC. It does not work on Vista.

It did install fairly quickly on my XP PCs (we have 3 of these webcams) and performs well enough for video chatting. The picture quality is just OK, nothing special. The included software is also OK and does what you expect it to do.

    Not recommended.

    truly value for money.
Has worked well. simple...effective and great value for the money. Got another one for my sis as well. She has had no complaints as well.

    Good buy!
Used this product for the past 2 years without any issues. I got it for then. Its no good for desktop PCs, but a great buy for laptops. The video quality is very decent.

I chose the Sound Blaster PCI 512 sound card for use with a low power, 5 speaker surround sound system (Cambridge/Creative Labs.) I mainly use this card for gaming and listening to music. The card has separate front/rear channel plugs for surround sound speakers, a microphone plug, and comes bundled with a decent amount of software. The control software contains controls for "Environmental Audio", which applies different affects to audio output. The most entertaining component of the bundled software has to be the keyboard, which lets you play with a few hundred different instruments and effects- very fun if you don't have a real keyboard to play with.I have not noticed any flaws in this sound card's performance, and I have not encountered any bugs in the drivers or control software. This is a great card for anyone looking for a simple, affordable option for gaming and music. Without a high-quality speaker system, you will probably not notice the difference between this sound card and more expensive ones such as the Sound Blaster Live!
